01/06/2006 - Gekko gets behind England Field Marketing Agency Gekko is running an in-store campaign that offers money back to consumers who purchase a Toshiba Intel Core Duo Notebook if England win the World Cup. The Toshiba World Cup 66% campaign offers consumers 66% of the products value back if the England squad is successful. The campaign, centred upon in-store branded demonstration areas, will run for six consecutive weekends from 29 April until 8 June at stores nationwide, including PC World, Micro Anvika and John Lewis. Toshiba head of consumer sales Tony Ellington said: “As official sponsors of the tournament, we want to show our support and give customers the opportunity to get behind the England team.
