Calzaghe campaign a hit at the 2008 DMAs

Gekko have for the second year in a row won a much coveted prize at the annual DMA Awards. Our Silver prize this year adds to last year's Bronze award and recognises Gekko's status as one of the UK's leading field marketing agencies. The DMA Awards are the most prestigious in the UK's marketing industry and are hotly contested each year.

The winning campaign, for the TV broadcaster Setanta Sports, centred around a merchandising and POS compliance blitz to 900 stores to promote a forthcoming Calzaghe world title for which Setanta owned the TV screening rights. With very high levels of merchandising compliance achieved and a sales uplift of up to 200% in some stores, the campaign demonstrated how targeted below the line marketing initiatives can complement and enhance other marketing activity at the point of sale.
