MWC 2026
As the doors prepare to close on the final day of MWC 2026 in Barcelona, the Gekko Group team has been right in the thick of the action. We are incredibly proud to be out here supporting Android this week, taking in the incredible innovation on display across the exhibition floor.
The energy throughout the event has been absolutely electric. We have spent the last few days exploring the halls and spotting some brilliant tech that is genuinely pushing the boundaries of what is possible for consumers.
Here is a look at the standout hardware and software from the Android and Meta ecosystems that caught our eye this year:
Android XR Smart Glasses We took a stroll down 'Android Avenue' and got a fantastic look at these highly anticipated prototypes. With features like real time AI translation and a seamless Maps overlay, the future of wearables feels incredibly close and highly practical.
Meta AI Glasses Meta is making massive waves just outside the main halls with their dedicated immersive experience space. They are giving hands on demos of their latest AI glasses, proving that the race for the ultimate wearable tech is well and truly heating up.
Android Circle to Search We have seen brilliant new ways to use Circle to Search on the show floor. You can now find and virtually try on clothing directly from an outfit you spot online, making mobile shopping more intuitive and visual than ever before.
Gemini on Wear OS 6 We are seeing Gemini being deeply integrated into the newest smartwatches. Having AI built right into the operating system to tackle complex commands directly from your wrist is a massive leap forward for mobile convenience.
The leap in innovation this year is staggering, and it is clear that AI and wearables are shaping the next generation of consumer tech. As we wrap up our time at MWC 2026, we are excited to bring these insights back to our teams and continue driving exceptional results.
