Ready to lead the charge on building an efficient Tactical Team as Account Director for an evolving, progressive Marketing Agency.
Gekko Group is looking for an experienced Account Director professional to join our team. This is your chance to lead the way in building and sharing knowledge about how to cut through in crowded categories. With an aptitude to succeed, you'll work closely with your Client Services Director, helping to build strong relationships, head up a talented field team, and leverage your experience to bring new ideas and growth, achieving ambitious client metrics and creating a pleasant working environment for all.

This is your chance to lead the way in building excitement and driving sales by enhancing the shopper journey for a major technology brand in the AI space. Developing the go to market strategy to assist the brand in retail partners across the UK. You'll work closely with all stakeholders from Channel Sales, Marketing and Training to help everyone shine and build their retail portfolio to develop the category and increase sales. Building strong relationships, heading up a talented team of field sales professionals, you'll leverage your confidence, expertise and the insights Gekko Group provides to bring new ideas and growth towards ambitious brand sales targets.
Your Package:

A salary up to £55,000 per annum (DOE), plus a bonus and car allowance.
 - 
	
6 Month Contract spot on our team (Monday-Friday) with a view to go permanent
 - 
	
Hybrid working: 3 days remote, with 2 days a week with the Gekko Group team in our Newbury office.
 - 
	
22 days holiday per annum (increasing to 26 days based on tenure) + bank holidays + buy & sell holiday options.

Your Role:
- 
	
Building a great partnership with the brand, finding creative ways to boost their presence through effectively recruited and trained field teams with clear direction and metrics to succeed.
 - 
	
Guiding our strategy across different retail channels whilst keeping an eye on trends to spot new opportunities.
 - 
	
Managing budgets smartly and effectively to deliver increased ROI.
 - 
	
Turning insights into strategy that develops performance and outcomes in the retail channels operated within.
 - 
	
Leading and supporting your team to do their best work and taking responsibility for your actions.
 
Sound like you? We’re looking for:
- 
	
Experience in field or retail marketing within the technology sector but not essential.
 - 
	
Proven experience in building strong client relationships and getting people onboard through leadership traits, actions not merely words.
 - 
	
Great communication skills and an eye for spotting trends with a commercial mindset and application into your brands category.
 - 
	
Experience leading and motivating a team, managing budgets and managing tight deadlines with ease, keeping all calm.
 - 
	
A full UK driving licence.
